How To Package Files
Please package all files sent to our server using some kind of compression software. This speeds transfers and consolidates your files into one archive file, making management simpler. On the Mac, DropStuff is a good archive/compression program. For the PC, use ZIP compression by running PKZIP, WinZip, or any of the multitude of ZIP-compatible compression programs available. Be sure to include fonts, artwork, and a PDF proof of the finished job.

FTP Client Software
Using FTP client software to connect directly to our FTP server is the most flexible and reliable method. Client software allows you to send more than one file at once, giving you progress as files are transferred.

Software is freely available for both Mac and PC platforms. Some sources of software:

Mac OS X 10.3: Cyberduck (Freeware) DOWNLOAD
PC: FileZilla (Freeware) DOWNLOAD

Using Cyberduck
Open Cyberduck and paste the address ftp://ftp.sonic.net/pub/users/solpress/incoming (make sure there are no spaces in the address) into the Quick Connect box and hit Enter on your keyboard.

When you connect it will change to look like:

Don’t worry if you don’t see any files, that’s normal.

Now all you need to do is drag files from the desktop or a Finder window to the File area of Cyberduck.

The file will then upload. You can watch its progress in the Transfers window of Cyberduck.

Don’t worry that you won’t see the file in the folder when it’s done uploading, that’s normal. Be sure to call or email us and let us know that your file has been uploaded.
